Founder of Hueze Kennels

I fell in love with Finnish Lapphunds the moment I brought my first one home. Their intelligence, gentle nature, and teddy bear looks captivated me completely. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into something much bigger - a lifelong dedication to this remarkable breed.

After years of showing my dogs and immersing myself in the breed community, I decided to establish Hueze Kennels. My goal was simple but important: to ethically expand and improve the Finnish Lapphund in Australia by breeding healthy, well-structured dogs with the wonderful temperament the breed is known for.

As a conformation judge-in-training, I focus on breeding healthy puppies with the right conformation and temperament. I look worldwide to bring exceptional bloodlines to Australia, but my greatest joy comes from matching each puppy with their perfect forever home.

At Hueze Kennels, every dog is raised with love, expertise, and a lifelong commitment to their wellbeing. I'm passionate about building a strong community around this extraordinary breed, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share my love of Finnish Lapphunds with others.

My journey with Finnish Lapphunds began when I met Huey Miin —and it was love at first sight, not just with her, but with her fluffy, charismatic Lapphunds too! Instantly drawn to their teddy bear looks, affectionate cuddles, and wonderful temperament, I quickly became as passionate about the breed as she was. Today, I play a vital role in our breeding program, ensuring every puppy is raised with love, care, and the best possible start in life.

With a strong focus on animal welfare, ethical breeding, and early socialization, I am hands-on from the moment the puppies are born. I aim to develop confident, friendly personalities, making sure they grow into well-adjusted companions ready for their forever homes. Whether it’s supervising their first steps, introducing them to new experiences, or simply ensuring they get plenty of cuddles, I take pride in raising happy, healthy puppies that embody the best of the breed.

Our Puppies Best Friend

Hi! I'm Joshua, the luckiest kid who gets to grow up with a whole pack of Finnish Lapphunds! My favorite job is playing with all the puppies - I teach them that kids are the most fun humans ever through gentle games and lots of cuddles.

I love how our puppies:

🐾 Give the best welcome-home kisses
🐾 Always want to play fetch (even if they don't always bring it back!)

Mum says I'm the official "puppy socializer" - which really just means I get to have the most fun!
